Proven experience

Built from real drafts, real players, and more than a decade of lessons.

Draft Diamond did not start as software. It started as draft night — hundreds of them — run by the team at League Joe for real adult sports leagues since 2014.

Where it began

League Joe was founded in 2014.

We set out to build better adult sports leagues — ones where teams were balanced, games were competitive, and showing up alone never meant feeling alone. Draft-style play became the heart of that mission.

Over the years, our draft nights grew from a clipboard and a whiteboard into something players looked forward to. Every season taught us something new about what makes a draft fair, fun, and worth watching.

Hard-won experience

Years of running parity-based draft events.

Parity by design

Every draft format we run is built to balance teams, not stack them. Competitive games are the whole point.

Real adult leagues

Softball, kickball, and more — thousands of players drafted across real seasons, not simulations.

Season after season

We saw the same coaches and players come back, which let us measure what actually works over time.

Refined formulas

Our assignment and draft logic evolved from real feedback, real complaints, and real results.

Improved in the wild

Every feature earned its place.

Draft Diamond was not designed in a vacuum. Each piece — live picks, animated reveals, the player lobby, projector mode — exists because a real draft night needed it.

From whiteboards to phones

Manual rosters became a live, shared board everyone could see.

From confusion to transparency

Players stopped wondering how teams were made because they watched it happen.

From admin to a show

Draft night turned into an event worth streaming and remembering.

What the data shows

Balanced drafts produce better outcomes.

Across years of League Joe events, parity-based drafting consistently delivered closer games, better parity, more balanced rosters, and a better player experience.
